Meet the Staff
Bob Patterson, Executive Director: Directs all fundraising activities and programs at the Center, secures exhibits, manages the staff, and works closely with Board and Guild members, sponsor representatives, and community leaders. Bob represents the Center with the media and serves on community boards. “This special place continues to evolve, and our goal is to find more ways to offer more opportunities for more people. We want everyone to be a part of this unique energy that is the Heritage Center.”
Don Alexander, Museum Store Manager/Cades Cove Heritage Tours Manager/Marketing Director: Don oversees the Museum Store, store volunteers, GSMHC museum admissions and manages Cades Cove Heritage Tour equipment, reservations and driver-guide staff. Don is also serving as Marketing Director as of November 2013. “I enjoy assisting guests to get the most out of their visit to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and East Tennessee.” Contact Don at email@example.com
Beth Sutton, Curator of Education: Beth works with teachers and other groups to create educational visits to the Heritage Center. Randy Klemm, Curator of Collections : Randy collects, manages, and oversees the care of the collection of artifacts for the Heritage Center. He also prepares items and designs exhibits to maximize the educational value. Contact the Curator of Collections by emailing, email@example.com
Logan Hull, Director of Special Events and Rentals: Logan coordinates festivals, special events, concerts, and speakers for the Heritage Center. She also works with guests who wish to rent the facility to host weddings, corporate events, and private events on the grounds. Bob Hood, Exhibit Technician: Bob is responsible for building and grounds maintenance. He also provides technical support for exhibits.
Celeste Elias, Administrative Assistant: Celeste assists the Director with special event administration, manages employee time records, maintains databases, processes payments, types and composes letters, manages memberships and answers members’ questions. Contact Celeste at email@example.com
Lorna Keathley, Store Clerk: Lorna assists the Store Manager with a variety of tasks that includes meeting and greeting the Center’s visitors, answering questions, and maintaining and re-stocking merchandise displays.
