Rhythm & Roots: Southern Music Traditions
The Southern Arts Federation's Southern Visions: The Southern Arts & Culture Traveling Exhibits Program is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art. Presented by NAI Knoxville, Humanities Tennessee, Southern Arts Federation and the National Endowment for the Arts. 

June 20, 9:00 am - 1:30 PM

Rhythm & Roots Program: Singing School for Old Harp Singers with historical interpretation by UT Musicologist Sean McCollough. Learn the fundamentals of reading "shapes" and keeping time and will be able to take part with the Old Harp Singers in the free open sing following the workshop. $12.00 supply costs for workshop. FREE OPEN SING AT 2:00 pm.
