Guild Corner

The Guild of the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center is a 21-member support organization made up of folks dedicated to its mission of preserving the cultural heritage of East Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains Region, primarily through fundraising activities. The guild has its own officers and its own bylaws, and each member may serve up to two three-year terms. Some of the guild's fundraising activities include hosting "Heritage Happenings," the Center's annual May fundraiser, which features a dinner with silent and live auctions benefiting the Center. The guild also hosts an annual holiday shopping event with an area department store.

Besides raising much-needed funds, the guild also gives support by providing docents, who lead guided tours through the facility. Some members are also gift shop volunteers and special events volunteers. Guild Members
